Football is back for another year, and the senior competitions start this weekend
Saturday 10th April
First up is the Men's 4th Division vs. Belwest Foxes in Cooma. Kick-off is 1pm at Nijong Oval. The 4th div boys are out for redemption after a disappointing season last year, and there are some exciting new additions to the team.
Saturday also sees the debut of a new team for this year, the Men's 5th division. They take on Tuggeranong Utd at 3pm (Kambah 2-1), which will be a tough opening fixture. A lot of familiar faces will line up in the 5th div team, and the cheer squad is primed & ready to go!
Sunday 11th April
Our new Premier Division teams begin their season on Sunday. Our football partner, Marist Canberra FC, will start proceedings with the U16's match against Canberra Olympic at 11am. This is followed by the U18's at 1pm.
The Premier League Pathway's team takes the field at 3pm and the main event, Cooma Tigers Premier League vs. Canberra Olympic, will kick-off at 5pm. All matches are at the Hawker Football Centre.
The Ladies also start on Sunday. Last year's Div 3 women have made the move to State League 2, and will begin their campaign away to Gungahlin Utd at midday. The match will be played at the University of Canberra field 5A. The Beavers also have an away match first up, a tough encounter against Woden Valley at 2pm.

Training is on this Tuesday 9th March 2010 6.00pm @ Nijong Oval.
The pre-season competition is being held on the 21st and 28th of March, with the regular season commencing 11th April.
If you can't make it to training but want to play please contact Kate ( women@coomafc.org.au ) as we are trying to finalise numbers for the 2010 season.
Shortly we will be arranging registration forms to go out to the schools. There will be a slight increase in registration fees this year as we intend to try and have paid referees at as many games as possible. We will also be arranging refereeing and coaching courses and need you to attend to make them work. More information will be coming your way soon.
The Cooma Football Club will support as many representative teams from Under-10 up as we are able to field; this will depend on the availability of players and coaches. Firstly, we are asking for coaches and managers to look after the teams. If you know of anyone interested in coaching a representative side please ask them to contact me via email or on 0409 966 654. Once coaches are appointed then the Representative Committee will arrange registration/trial days for those players wanting to join the representative squads
The Club will be sending teams to Canberra from Under-12 up; boys and girls. Again this will be dependent on the availability of coaches and players. So, we need to hear from people interested in coaching or managing a Canberra team. Players in Under-12's will be expected to play in and support the local junior competition as well as in Canberra. If you are interested in playing please contact myself or David Elliott on 6452 4605 ASAP
